SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME: To enhance the livelihood for rural household SHG women. DMWS conducted 25 micro enterprises development programmes (MEDP). With the help of NABARD in Seethanagarm, Badangi, Parvathipuram, Komarada and Terlam Mandals of vizianagaram Dist. 660 SHG women were trained under NABARD-MEDP. 15 Fashion Technology trainings, 5 screen printing and painting trainings, 1 tie and die, surf, 1 vermi composting, 3 Incense sticks training centers, Azola cultivation and preparation of natural fertilizers and pesticide training were conducted during the 2011 to 2015. Out of 660 trained women, 30 resource persons were developed and trained on development of management skill and market linkages organized by SBI, Vizianagaram. Now 600 SHG women households generating daily income Rs 150-200 at their homes.
These MEDPs helped to develop 9 MRPs (Master Resource Person) fashion technology and screen printing and painting trades 8 chewing machines, 5 vegetable selling units, 2 goat rearing units, 2 cattle units, 2 pan shop units, 5 provision( kirana) shop units and 1 resource center provided by Gayathri Vantillu, Mumbai, now the resource centre running successfully in Seetanagaram.
VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME: NABARD adopted veerasagaram village for integrated manner. This would include economic development, infrastructure development, and other aspects of human development i.e education, health, drinking, water supply etc., besides access to credit. So DMWS determined to develop Veerasagaram village in the period of 3 years, with support from govt. officials and people representatives. In these regard DMWS organized villages meet and conducted PRA in the village. Prioritized all the identified problems for salvation with the cooperation and coordination of all govt. agencies and non govt agencies.
